How do I enter an annual cashback payment received to my credit card?

I only see an easy way to add finance charges.  I tried to add them as negative charges but this did not work.  There are no customers providing this payment so it is also hard to use sales receipts and deposits and I am unable to select credit card as the account that would be deposited to.

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online enables you to record the cash back received to your credit card, so your account remains balanced.  I'd be glad to assist!

 

Here's how to record a cash back to your credit card account:

 

1. From the left menu, open + New

2. Select Credit card credit

3. Use the ▼ dropdown menu to choose the Payee and the Bank/Credit Account  

4. Under the Category details, select the account that you have for your cash back rewards 
Note: If you don't have an account to track your cash back rewards, you need to create one. Please see How to create a new parent account or subaccount.

5. Enter the remaining information

6. Hit Save and close.

That's it!
