How do I find out what happened to two customer payments by credit card for my invoices?

I don’t usually accept credit card payments, but forgot to disallow the option on these two. I got the notice that payment had been made, and would be credited to me soon, but weeks have gone by and I don’t see the payments.

Hello giragavin-gmail-,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. It's essential you're able to find out what happened to your customer payments by credit card and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

QuickBooks allows you to view the changes that happened to your account using the Audit log. This tool provides you with a list of changes/transactions that were made. Here's how to use the Audit log:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Audit Log.
  2. Select Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  4. If you've recently created these transactions, locate them on the Audit log screen, click on the blue link to open the transaction in question and retrieve the required info.
  5. Select Apply.

Let me know if this info is helpful. I'll be a message away in case you need anything else.
