Question

How do I get rid of the "instantly send" invoices when I only want to print and manually input payment.

Hi there ryanprendergast3,

At QuickBooks, we know there are a number of ways you might want to handle your data and the transactions for your customers. With this in mind, we've equipped the program with various options for you to choose from when it comes to recording your invoices. I'd be happy to go over this with you.

When creating an invoice in QuickBooks Online and you're ready to save, you'll see a green button in the bottom right corner with the options to do so. Sometimes that button defaults to Save and send when you've just started using the program, but there are other options to choose from. Select the down arrow beside the word "send" to see the other options: Save and new, Save and close, and Save and share link. Once you select one of these, it will become the new default the next time you create an invoice.

In your case, it sounds like the Save and close option should do the trick once you've printed. The print option is also found on the invoice setup along the bottom bar. Choose Print or Preview to access this option. Feel free to check out this article to see the full details and step-by-step for how to do these tasks: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online

Give that a read-through and let me know if you have more questions. I'm here to help!
