Hey there Wayne,

I love that you're becoming familiar with how to create Invoices using QuickBooks Online. This is likely going to be a common task for you and it's important that you know how to do it correctly. I want to show you how to save your transactions so that you can move on to entering another.

As you may have noticed, there are a few options to save your Invoice or other transactions at the bottom of the window. The simple Save button merely saves your progress. This is helpful if you're making changes to an existing invoice or need to walk away for a moment and want to make sure your work has been saved. Next to it in the bottom right corner you'll see a green button that will either read Save and closeSave and send, Save and new, or Save and share link based on what you choose from the dropdown arrow. The option of Save and new is the option you're looking for.

When you hit Save and new, the invoice that you've been working on will save in the system and you'll be presented with a new blank invoice form to complete. This allows you to continue entering your invoices without having to hit the + New button and select Invoice from the choices each time. If you choose Save and send your invoice will be saved and you'll be prompted to adjust the info that's sent to your customer via email with their invoice. Save and close simply saves the invoice and closes the window so that you can move on to other bookkeeping tasks within QBO.

If you have any other questions or want more clarification, I've got your back. Just reply to this thread and I'll be happy to give you a hand. Enjoy your day!
