How to add customer /project to JE Module

I am doing a journal entry but i would like to choose the customer the expense i am entering relates to

It's great to hear from you again. QuickBooks Online has many abilities and features depending on the version you're using. Don't worry. I can explain how you can enter the customer's name in your journal entry.

 

To assign a customer to an expense, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to  + New.
  2. Select Journal Entry.
  3. When you fill in the information for your transaction, you'll see a column that is labelled NAME. If you click on the dropdown arrow in the box, you'll see your customer's names. Choose the one that you want to track the expense for.
  4. After you've completed entering the transaction, click Save and close.

If you have the QuickBooks Online Plus version, you have the option of adding billable expenses for your customers. This means that you can add the cost to the customer's invoice. The Plus account also allows you to turn on the Projects feature, which you can use to Track income, costs, and profitability by project.
