Hi there,

Keeping track of sales tax is a normal part of everyday business. It's important that you're using a program that gives you the flexibility to add GST to your sales forms quickly and easily. I'll explain how to add GST to an invoice in QuickBooks Online.

The first step will be to turn on Sales Tax, if you haven't already. To do that, click the Taxes tab on the left navigation menu, then click "Set up sales tax". For more information, take a look at this helpful article: How to set up a new sales tax code.

Once you've set up your GST rate, you can add it to an invoice in just a few steps. To create the invoice, click the Sales tab on the left navigation menu, then click Invoices. Select New. Enter your customer, and select the product/service you're invoicing for. Then click the "Sales Tax" column to select GST. You'll have to add a Sales Tax selection for each line item on your invoice. You can either enter amounts Inclusive or Exclusive of tax.

I hope this helps you get back on track. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our tech support team

Cheers.
