Question

How to export & import an estimate with values?

I'm trying to create a template budget using SF numbers in an estimate.  We're a home building company so the numbers don't change often.  I need to save, export and then import the entire estimate including the estimated values.  The estimated values never show up.  Example:

Hardwood 2 quantity x $10.00 per SF = $20

Cleaning 1 quantity x $500 per time = $500

Every time I import, nothing shows up for any items such as the 2 above.  Is there anyway to do this?

Thank you!

Hello oldcreeekhomes,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. The program is designed to help you streamline your accounting with ease. I'll be happy to steer you in the right direction so you can get back to doing what you enjoy.

The function you've described above isn't available in QBO. You're more than welcome to send feature requests by clicking on the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. I also recommend searching for third-party apps that can offer more reporting options on our app store www.apps.com. Otherwise, here's a helpful article with more info about: Importing data into QuickBooks Online

@oldcreekhomes

Install the trial version of a 3rd party tool. Did you encounter the same problem?

Hi oldcreekhomes,

It's important that you're able to import your estimates seamlessly.  QuickBooks Desktop offers multiple ways to export and import your data.  Here's a helpful guide, for your reference.

Feel free to reach back out with additional questions.  We'd be happy to help!
