How to initially set up snap receipt sales tax amount and item category

Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks is a versatile program that's designed to help you simplify your accounting. I'll be happy to guide you in the right direction from here. 

While there is no set up necessary in order to snap receipts, here are the steps to follow on the mobile app: 

1. Open the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
2. Select the Menu ≡ icon.
3. Select Receipt snap.
4. Select the Camera icon and snap a photo of your receipt or bill.
5. Select Use this photo, then Done.
