Hst not being added to by invoice total. It is instead recalculating the subtotal

Based on what you've described, I recommend making sure you've set up sales tax on your account.  Have you set up sales tax on your end? Here's a helpful article that shows you how to set up sales tax: 

Set up and use sales tax in QuickBooks Online. If the issue persists, I recommend clearing cache and cookies on your browser. Clearing cache and cookies is a great way to clean your browser allowing it to work more efficiently. Here's an article that shows you how to do that: How to clear cache and cookies. If this doesn't work, I suggest using a private/incognito window to see if that works instead.
