I deleted an invoice by mistake. How can I get it back?

Sometimes, an invoice can get deleted by mistake and it's vital to be able to correct it in order to keep the right information in your account for your books. I'll be glad to help you find the deleted invoice so you can get back on track with your work.
 

While there isn't a way to restore a deleted invoice in QuickBooks Online, you can review the Audit Log tab to look at the details on it. You can then use this information to recreate your invoice in your QuickBooks account. You'll need to log in from a browser to access the audit log tab.

You can then use these details to re-create the deleted transaction.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear Icon at the top right and select Audit Log.
2. Click the drop-down arrows, select All Users and choose the date range.
3. Under Events drop down, choose Deleted/Voided transactions.
4. Look for the invoice, and click View.
5. Click the time to show the details.
6. Then, re-create the invoice through clicking the Plus sign (+) at the top.
7. Select Invoice.
8. Enter the needed information, and click Save.
