I don't have an edit symbol by my Progress invoicing. How do I turn it on?

Hello Pepper1_,

With the option in QuickBooks Online to progressively invoice your estimates to customers, you have control over how much you will invoice the customer when. It's great feature for if you need to only invoice in segments or there may even be other reasons to use it. The good news is, like regular invoices, it's possible to edit your Progress Invoices as needed. I'll show you how it's done.

When you want to edit an invoice or even the estimate it's coming from, there are a couple of ways you can access the option to do so. The easiest is to find the transaction in the list through the Sales section's different tabs, then click along the transaction line (such as the Date column or where it says Invoice) to launch the transaction so you can edit it.

Another way to edit it is from the Action column. I'll use the All Sales tab as an example in the steps below.

  1. Hover over Sales in the left menu.
  2. Choose All Sales.
  3. Find the transaction in the list.
  4. Click the down arrow in the Action column for the transaction in question.
  5. Select View/Edit.

In light of that, there's no need to activate or turn on the edit option. It's always there, even if it's not immediately evident. That down arrow is a great way to see the various things you can do with the transaction.

Give that a shot and let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. I want to make sure you're back on track with this. :)
