I had an invoice entered and paid twice so the reconciliation was over by 69.00 the amount of the invoice when i deleted the invoice the reconciliation was still over?

Based on what you've described, I recommend checking to make sure you also deleted the duplicate payment associated with the invoice. To do this, open the invoice in question, open the payment that's linked to it, and delete the payment. Give this a try and let me know how you make out.
