Question

I have online payments turned on, just imported 350 invoices and each one I have to edit to turn on onlines payments - why?

I have looked at the template and there is nothing there to indicate I should have added a field to indicate online payments accepted and now I have to modify each invoice individually which is not saving the time i had hoped.  Online payments is on in the settings.

Thanks for reaching out here.  Welcome!  QuickBooks Online Payments is a dynamic feature that allows your customers the option to 'Pay Now' directly from their invoice.  I'd be happy to provide more information you you're on the right track with your work!

 

Importing your invoices is a great time saver, however, any payments that have been applied, will need to be recorded manually.  Having the payments automatically applied to your transactions is only available when invoices are created in QuickBooks Online.  When you create a new invoice, you'll be able to select the types of payments your business will accept.  Here's a helpful guide for using bank payments.  If you'd like to make a product suggestion, you can submit your recommendations to our Development team by going to > Settings ⚙ > Feedback.
