I invoiced a Canadian customer in CAD and QBO posts the entry in USD accounts receivable??? This is irritating! Can you fix this bug?

Based on what you've described, I see you've double-checked to make sure the Canadian customer is set up using CAD. If you haven't done this yet I recommend checking to make sure the customer is set up correctly. If the issue persists, I suggest clearing cache and cookies on your browser. Doing this helps fix most issues the site may be having.
