Question

I just switched banks from TD to Scotiabank. I had a QB account prior but now that I have switched, do I get the discounts that SB customers get?

Hello joel-stimson,

I know how discounts can make a difference in the expenses needed to run your business, and I like that you've got your eye on the one offered to Scotiabank customers. I can clarify how these kinds of discounts work with QuickBooks Online subscriptions.

When it comes to these kinds of discounts offered by banks and other services that apply to QuickBooks Online subscriptions, the majority of the time, they apply to new subscriptions only. I have a feeling you're looking at the Online cloud accounting software Intuit Canada page on the Scotiabank website. If you scroll down to the finer print, the page notes "This discount is only available to new QuickBooks customers," meaning that you'd have to create a brand new subscription in order to take advantage of it.

You're welcome to check in with the QuickBooks Online support team outside of this forum to see if there are any discounts available on your account. Reaching out by phone, chat, or social media gives us the opportunity to securely collect your account details to review your billing and check on available discounts. Here are the ways you can reach us.

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.

Social MediaFacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
Support hours are from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

I hope this helps!
