Question

I need help setting up. When I spoke with someone they said I would receive an email back in Nov. haven’t received one yet. I am excited to start using QuickBooks!

Just not sure where to start. Tried hooking up payroll but I can’t find it now.

Hi there, @starlamatlock-ic. I can help you set up your account so you can start tracking your entries with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Payroll.

 

If you haven't created an account yet, you can follow these steps to subscribe to QBO and payroll.

 

  1. Open this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ca/pricing/.
  2. Enable the add-on payroll subscription if you want to add payroll to your QuickBooks account.
  3. Tap on Buy now.
  4. Enter your details (email address (user ID), first name, last name, mobile number, password), then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.

 

If you have an existing QBO account and wanted to add payroll, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Gear icon, click on Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Billing & Subscription section.
  3. Go to the QuickBooks Payroll tab and click Learn more
  4. From there, choose the payroll plan you need. You can try it for 30 days free of charge and see which plan fits you.

 

or,

 

  1. Click on Payroll at the left pane, then select Employees.
  2. Tap on Get Started or Set up Payroll.
  3. Choose the type of service that you want to use.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setting up your payroll account.
