I need to edit a payment. The payment was equal to the invoice, but the invoice was actually more then it should have been. How do i adjust the payment?

QuickBooks Online is all about giving you full control over your own books. Occasional mistakes are unavoidable, so the system is designed to make them easy to fix. Editing a payment only takes a second, and it'll prevent discrepancies going forward. I'll be happy to guide you through this. 

Adjusting the payment only takes a few easy steps:

1. Go to Sales and select Customers.
2. Click on the customer in question.
3. Find and open the payment.
4. Modify the amount as needed, then Save and close.
