Question

I turned an estimate into an invoice by mistake... is there a way to revert back to the estimate?

Hi Gemko Construction,

We know that estimates and sales are the life blood of a business and mistakes happen. With QuickBooks Online you aren't faulted for this and I'd be happy to help you get your estimates set back up.

When you make an invoice based off an estimate it removes the ability to make a new invoice from it. This is a precaution to prevent multiple invoices being made from one estimate by mistake. However if you accidentally made an invoice from the wrong estimate all you need to do is delete the invoice and it allows you to create an invoice from that estimate again. To delete an invoice you just need to go to: Sales>Invoices. Find the invoice follow across to the end and click the arrow on the far right side of the screen. From there just click delete and that's all.

Once deleted you are free to add to that estimate or create a new invoice from it.

Hope this was able to help.
