If I need to delete an invoice that was done in error, will the invoice number go back into sequence?

Creating invoices has never been easier with QuickBooks Online. The automatic invoice numbering system makes it simple for you to keep track of your sales and see a chronological timeline of your transactions. I'd be happy to explain how deleting an invoice will impact your number sequence. 

When an invoice is created, it will automatically be assigned the next number in your sequence. If this invoice is then deleted, the number sequence will continue from where it left off. 

For example, if you create invoice #1, #2 and #3, then you delete invoice #3, QBO will still move to the next number creating invoice #4. Invoice #3 will not be recreated.
