In Receive Payment window, my client's American Express info is shown. But website says you don't accept American Express payments from subscribers' clients - true?

What is shown in the Receive Payments window contradicts the statement that American Express is not supported. Please clarify.

Welcome to the Community!  Receiving payments from your customers is essential in keeping their accounts balanced, and your books aligned.  QuickBooks Online Payments offers the ability to receive your funds effortlessly, so your books remain up-to-date. 

 

At the moment, credit card payments can be made through the following Canadian payment methods, and can be entered manually, or made through the invoice link:

  • Discover
  • Mastercard
  • Visa
  • Apple Pay*.

To achieve your QuickBooks goals, I encourage you to find a third-party app to be able to receive payments from US customer credit cards. You can click on the Apps tab on the left navigation menu > Find Apps.

If you would like to include the option to accept payments from customers in foreign currency, I recommend sending Feedback from your Settings ⚙.  This is sent to our Development Team to consider for future updates. Your comments are crucial in providing the best possible user experience in QuickBooks Online.
