I want to set up the correct  income and expense accounts for a non-profit organization - using Quickbooks Desktop Premier. We host a number of events including a trade show, golf tournament and member meetings.

It was suggested to me to use type "service" and "miscellaneous revenue" . Looking for suggestions on the income and expenses.

To know how you should be setting up your accounts for income and expenses so that your books can be well balanced, I recommend speaking to your accountant. Their expertise will be able to best assist in setting up your chart of accounts so that all your income and expenses can be classified correctly.
