info not showing on invoices.

QTY and RATE list is not showing up on my invoices anymore. The columns show but the content does not show. I tried chatting to support but the QuickBooks support is very poor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi joe40,

 

Having the quantity and rate appear on your invoices is essential to ensure the total amount is in accordance to the products and services provided to your customers.  When these fields aren't populating the required elements in QuickBooks Online, I suggest some basic troubleshooting steps to rule out any browser issues.  I'd be happy to guide you!

 

Initially, I recommend logging out of your QuickBooks account and clearing cache on your browser.  Once you've done that, open a private or incognito browser and login to your account.  You may also want to try a different browser such as Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari or Edge.  

 

In addition, I've had this experience in the past myself and found that filling in the required fields in sequence resulted in a positive outcome.  Such as, entering the Service Date and the Products/Services fields after selecting your customer and entering the invoice date.  Once you've entered the product or service, the quantity and default rate should automatically appear.

 

If you're getting the same result after following the above recommendations, it's a good idea to look further into this in your product and services list, to rule out any possible changes to your items.  Here's how:

 

1. From the Gear in the top right, open Products and Services

2. Locate the item that isn't showing the quantity or rate when creating an invoice and hit Edit from the Action column to review the sales price/rate

3. Make any necessary changes

4. Choose Save and Close when finished

Note:  If the item isn't appearing in your list, click on the arrow beside the Filter (looks like a funnel), located beside the search bar.  Change the Status to show All and hit Apply.  Under the Action column, click on Make Active.

 

Your quantity and rate should now automatically appear when creating an invoice.
