Hello michael164,

Mistakes like these are common but don't worry, I'll be happy to help you find the deleted invoice so you can get back on track with your work. QuickBooks is a powerful program that offers a user-friendly platform that makes it easy to navigate.

Based on what you've described, I recommend using the Audit log to locate and reference the deleted invoice. Since there isn't a way to restore a deleted invoice, you can recreate them by clicking on the New (+) icon > Invoice. In case you need to see what the invoice consisted of, I'd suggest using the Audit log as a point of reference. QuickBooks offers a powerful feature called the Audit log. The Audit Log tracks user login/logout activity, changes to settings, customers, suppliers, and employees. In order to find the deleted invoice, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Audit Log.
  2. Select Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  4. If you've recently created these transactions, locate them on the Audit log screen, click on the blue link to open the transaction in question and if you need to delete unwanted entries, you can easily do that from here.
  5. Select Apply.

Give this a try and let me know how you make out. I'll be on standby in case you need further assistance.

Hi there. Thanks for chiming in on this thread. While there isn't a way to restore a deleted invoice, you can take advantage of the Audit log feature which helps you get a visual reference of the deleted invoice. With this info, you can recreate the invoice again using the steps in this article here. Check out the steps above for more info about using the Audit log. Feel free to ask other questions, I'll be one message away. :)
