Invoice numbers

Hi there AAK, 

It's important to have complete control over your invoices in QuickBooks. If you no longer wish to use automatic invoice numbers, you can disable this feature by customizing the invoice template in order to manually enter the invoice number. 

Here's what you'll do: 

1. On the Invoice page, click on the Formatting tab in the upper left corner. 

2. Click the Customize Data Layout option.

3. On the Additional Customization page, click the Header tab.

4. In the Invoice Number section, uncheck the boxes for Screen and Print. This will remove the invoice number field. 

5. Click OK.

Once that's done, the default field for invoice numbers will disappear, but you'll still have a customizable invoice number field in the upper right-hand corner.
