Invoices are being marked paid as soon as i send how do i fix this?

Based on what you've described, it sounds like you've got the Automatically apply credits feature turned on. This powerful feature applies outstanding credits to invoices you create for particular customers. Here's how you can turn off the feature:

1. Click on the Gear icon
2. Select Account and Settings
3. Click on Advanced
4. Select Pencil icon in Automation
5. Remove the check-mark in the box next to Automatically apply credits
6. Hit Save
7. Select Done
