Hello dmacfadgen,

With the way you've worded your post, it sounds to me like you're working with a third-party app or service to integrate supplier transactions with QuickBooks Online. That's a fantastic option for accessing the features you need for your transactions while also having the opportunity to filter the information into your books. I want to make sure that this setup is recording the HST on your supplier transactions.

When you're working with third-party apps or integrations and you run into these kinds of troubles, the first step is check in with the support team for that service. Since these are developed by third-party partners, the coding and the way the service interacts with QuickBooks Online is designed by them. It may even be a matter of simply checking your setup in that third-party option, but if you need so extra guidance, contacting their support teams is the way to go.

For an app that you've connected through the Apps tab in QuickBooks Online, you can find support details right on the app's info page. Here's how.

  1. Select Apps from the left menu.
  2. Go to the My Apps tab.
  3. Click the app you're using.
  4. Use the App information section on the app's page to see support details.

If you're using some other integration, I recommend visiting the website for whatever service that might be to find support contact details you can use.

If after working with those support teams you find that it might be something on QuickBooks' side that needs addressing, feel free to come back here to the Community with what you've learned. Be as detailed as possible, but keep in mind that this is a public forum. If you'd prefer to work with someone in a private setting or need to share specific account details, you can use one of the following options to get in touch with support instead.

Schedule a Callback or Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat. Support is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

I hope this has been helpful!
