Question

Is there a way of having an autosave setting. I have started estimates and had my program time out and make me re-sign in, it does not save any of my estimate.

Hello,

I can see how losing progress made on an estimate isn't ideal. I want to make sure your QuickBooks Online account isn't timing out on you before you're able to complete the task at hand.

At this time, QuickBooks Online doesn't have an autosave feature available. Your progress won't be lost as long as you still have QuickBooks open, which is why it's important to extend your log-off inactivity timer.

You can do this quite simply by clicking the Gear icon > Account and Settings > Advanced > Other Preferences. You'll see an option that says, "Sign me out if inactive for", and the options are 1, 2, or 3 hours. I recommend changing this to 3 hours, so you have ample time to complete your estimate without QuickBooks logging you off.

I really like your suggestion of an autosave feature, and I'd be happy to pass that along to our product development team for review. I'd encourage you to submit feedback about that as well. To do that, click the Gear icon > Feedback. We're constantly innovating and looking for new ways to improve the product.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. I'm happy to help.

Have a great day!
