Is there a way that my boss can get an e-mail automatically sent to him whenever a new project is opened in QuickBooks?

This is a great idea, and I can see how it would help streamline communication with your boss about the work that's being done in QuickBooks Online. When everyone is in the know, things run more smoothly, and I'd be happy to go over how QuickBooks handles creating Projects.

When you create a new project using the Projects feature in QuickBooks Online, the program is essentially creating a new area where you're organizing income and expenses related to a single job. While you could Cc or even Bcc your boss on invoices sent to the related customer, there isn't a way for the program to alert the boss, even by email, that a new project has been created.
