Is there a way to have the invoice date and posting date separate?

I find that I only have the invoice date and due date. And the invoice date tends to be the posting date. This posting date messes up my reports when vendors submit their invoices late but has a previous month's date.

Hey there jaspar-indigenou,

 

Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online is a great tool to have, it allows you to send invoices to your customers. It's important that your invoices are done correctly in order for your books to balance properly. I can provide some assistance with invoices.

 

In QuickBooks Online there isn't an option to have the invoice date and the posting date separate because they are the same date in the software. I see how this feature would be beneficial to you, I recommend leaving feedback by navigating to the Gear icon then selecting the Feedback option. These comments are considered by our Engineers when developing new feature for QuickBooks,
