Hey krissymommy,

Inputting bills as you receive them is the best way to keep track of your expenses, and how much you're spending with a supplier. Printing functions in QuickBooks Online are focused on sales forms, as you'd typically receive the official copy of bills from your vendors. I can certainly see the benefit of being able to make quick copies, and I have a few options I'd like to share with you.

To print a bill in QuickBooks Online, you would need to use your browser's print function (typically Ctrl + P) in the bill entry page or take a screenshot. However, you can easily scan a copy of invoices you receive from your vendors and attach them to bills and expense. This lets you keep a backup in the cloud, which you can easily download and share at any time. You can add attachments to most transactions as well as customer and supplier profiles. It just takes a few easy steps to add an attachment to a bill:

  1. Open the desired transaction.
  2. From the bottom left, select Attachments.
  3. Browse and select the document you want to attach.
  4. Select Open, then Save and close.

This is far from being a complete overview of possibilities unlocked by using attachments, so please take a look at this article to learn more: Attachments in QuickBooks Online

Alternatively, for something similar to a bill than can easily be printed off or emailed, you can try using a Purchase Order. These can be considered as estimates for a bill, as they have no underlying journal entry and are designed to eventually be converted into a bill. If you're subscribed to QuickBooks Online Plus, setting up Purchase Orders only takes a second. Just click on + New and select Purchase Order to get started. Here's an article to help you determine if these are a good fit for your company: Create purchase orders in QuickBooks Online

Hope this helps! Don't hesitate to share your feedback with the team, and let me know if there's anything else I can do for you today.
