Question

Is there any way to have only a customer's "Company Name" show up on an invoice in the "Invoice To" area?I've tried many scenarios, with no luck.

The invoice to area always shows First Name Last Name and either the Company Name or the Display Name. Very frustrating, as I only want the Company name to show. Importing my own template didn't solve this issue either.

hi qbo7 ,

You may explore the invoicing feature in Veem. It is a free tool and supports QBO.

Hope it helps.

Hello qbo7,

This is an interesting question. I’ll be happy to help. With QuickBooks Online, you can easily create professional invoices and forward them to your customers at the press of a button. If you wish to edit an invoice so it only shows the company name in the Invoice To area, do as follows:

  1. Select Sales from the left menu.
  2. Select Customers.
  3. Select the customer you want to send an invoice to.
  4. Select the invoice you wish to print or send.
  5. In the Billing address box, edit the text as needed. In your example, you need to remove the first and last name, then add the company name if it’s not already included.
  6. Select Save from the bottom right menu.
  7. Select Print or Preview from the bottom menu.
  8. Select Print or Preview again to review the invoice prior to printing it.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Did anyone give you a satisfactory answer to this?  I just signed up for QBO and this is the MOST frustrating aspect so far.

not satisfactory.  should have the option automatically, not have to edit every single invoice.

This is very frustrating I agree. I only want the Company's name to show on invoice not the contact name for the company. Not sure why this even happens.
