Just downloaded QuickBooks accounting, not including sales tax on invoice. Not way to add modify it on app

Hi markluciani-yaho,

 

Making sure your sales tax is being added to your invoices is integral in making sure you are track and are able to file your taxes to the CRA. I can help get your sales tax added to your invoices.

 

One of the great features of QuickBooks Online is how easy it makes adding and tracking sales tax when paying bills or sending invoices. If the app isn't assigning the sales tax to an invoice it could be due to an issue with the app or sales tax not being set up on the account. To make sure it is enabled on the account it is recommended to do the set up on the website first as the app has limited functions for this. Once on the website you can go to: Taxes>Set up Sales Tax. From there you will need to select which province your business is set up in and your tax filing information. Should you need to add sales tax for other provinces just click the manage sales tax at the top then add tax. Once that's done you should be able to add sales tax on the app.

 

If it doesn't add it would be due to an issue with the app. You'll need to uninstall the app and install it again to correct this.
