Question

Keeping income under sub-customer after linking to projects

Looking for some advice:

Is anyone aware of a way to actually LINK a sub customer to a project (not just transfer everything over) so that the income shows under both the sub customer AND the project without doubling it?

Currently wanting to transfer over to using projects but the management software I am using will only automatically import income from sub customers in QBO, not projects.

Hi TC39,

It's a pleasure to see you reaching out to Community.  Welcome!  QuickBooks Online Plus allows you to convert your sub customers into a project with job costing features that keep everything in one place.  I'd be happy to to offer more insight!

With the Projects feature, you can add sub-customers, income, billable or non-billable expenses, run specific project reports and so much more.  If you'd like to have a look at how to set up and create projects in QuickBooks Online, follow this link for the step-by-step process as well as a short video.  To learn more about changing sub customers into projects, click here.  I hope this helps!
