A big part of QuickBooks Online is making sure your information is organized, and the customer list plays a role in that. Thanks for bringing to my attention that your customers are missing. I'm here to help make sure that you're able to get that customer list back so you can get back on track with working in the program.

 

When things seem to be missing in QuickBooks Online, there are a few initial troubleshooting steps I like to recommend. The first is to log out and log back in, especially if you've just created a new customer or entry. Sometimes this kind of refresh helps the program catch up to properly display the work you've entered in the books. Give that a shot to see if it makes a difference.

 

If it doesn't, the next troubleshooting steps I have for you are related to browser, app, Internet, and cache. With QuickBooks Online being a cloud software, temporary Internet files and even the Internet connection itself can impact the way that the program behaves. Please try out the following steps one-by-one.

If one of these solves the problem, that's great! If not, please make note of where the customer contact information is missing and then connect with a member of support to troubleshoot this further. For instance, is it only in a drop-down menu on forms that the customers are missing or is it also in the Customers section through the Sales tab? Are any transactions you had linked to customers also missing? These kinds of details are vital for helping us get to the bottom of what's going on.
