Hi amaranthesso,

Welcome to the Community. It's essential that your invoices are sent to the correct account to keep your books up to date. QuickBooks Online is great program that offers the ability the to simply track your sales and expenses. I'd be glad to point you in the right direction regarding the invoice account.

If your invoice amount is sent to wrong account, I encourage to review the income account of the item used on the  invoice. You can refer to the following steps to review the income account of the item.

  1. Click on Get paid & Pay on the left navigation menu.
  2. Select Products and services.
  3. Find the product or service used on the invoice, click on Edit on the right.
  4. Scroll down and make sure that the correct account is selected under Income account.
  5. If the correct account is not selected, you can click on the drop down to select the right account.

Also, You can review your chart of accounts to ensure that the sales account is set up correctly. I encourage you to click on Bookkeeping on the left navigation menu > select Chart of accounts > Find your Sales account. If your sales account is not set up, you can click on New to create your sales account. After creating the account, you can refer to the steps provided above to select it under Income account.

Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help.
