My Invoice description does not show up on my statements does anyone know why.

Does anyone know why the description of an invoice doesn't show up on a statement?

Hello KimH1,

 

That's a great question. Customer statement does not contain the description of an item. Instead, it shows the transaction type such as invoice, sales receipts, credit memos. It's because every transaction might has multiple product/service items. You can pull up the Sales by Customer report. It'll show you the description of each items for each transaction.

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Type Sales by Customer in the search field.
  3. Enter the Report period. 
  4. Click on Run report.
