Question

My mobile app automatcially places invoices and estimates exclusive of tax and expenses inclusive of tax. I would like to have my desktop browser do the same.

Hi there, 

 

Recording invoices, estimates, and expenses is a really simple process in QuickBooks Online. Things are made even more convenient with the help of the QBO mobile app. I'll help explain the default settings for your taxes on your transactions. 

 

You're correct that the mobile app will automatically assign the "Tax Inclusive" field to your expenses, and "Tax Exclusive" option to your invoices and estimates. These defaults are different in the browser version of the program, as both sales transactions and expenses default to be tax exclusive.
