Hi there,

Creating invoices is so simple in QuickBooks Online! It's essential to be able to include the postal code when entering address details, and I'd be happy to explain why QBO may be having issues recognizing the one you're entering.

The first important thing to note is whether the postal code and city are a match. QuickBooks Online gets address information based on the Canada Post server. Try entering your address into the Canada Post website here: Find a Postal Code. When the address populates under "Address Found", copy and paste each section directly into QuickBooks. This is an effective workaround that's almost always successful.

The postal code format that displays on the Canada Post site is the correct way to enter into QuickBooks Online.

If your postal code still isn't working, try some browser troubleshooting next. Try clearing the cache and cookies to give your browser a reset. Stored Internet files build up over time as you browse, and they can cause bugs and other issues with sites like QuickBooks Online. Here's a list of steps explaining how to clear the cache and cookies based on your browser: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

If the issue continues to persist, try using an Incognito window in Google Chrome. This is a private window that runs separately from the rest of your browser, and it doesn't store cache and cookies the same way a regular browser would. Here's how to use it: Browse in private

You can also try using a different browser all together.

If you're still running into issues, there may be something causing this on the back-end, and I'd like our agents to take a closer look into this for you. I'd suggest reaching out to our tech support team directly, and I'm confident an agent can sort this out for you.

Have a great week.
