Question

No details or summary in invoice email

We would prefer NOT to show any invoice information in our email BODY. All the information is the ATTACHED file any way. No need to stick the amount in the body,

The email is forcing us to have an inline summary or full detail

[X] Full details
[X] Summarized details

IS there a way to get rid of this?

Hi there wastapi,

Making sure that your invoices are correct when sent to your customers is an important part of managing sales for your business. QuickBooks Online is a great tool that allows you to create and send invoices from the same software. I can provide some information on this.

When an email is sent to your customers from QuickBooks Online, there will be a part of the invoice shown within the email, and the is no way to remove it by customizing the form in Custom Form Styles. As you mentioned above, there is the option to have Full or Summarized details if you were to want to have the smallest amount of details possible in the body of the email.

One way that you could get around this to send an email more customized would be to download the PDF of the invoice by clicking on Print/Preview when completing it, and downloading the invoice. You could then send it as an attachment from your own business email so that you have complete control over the body of the message.

I can see that the option to remove that section from the email would be a feature that would be interesting for you. You can leave your feedback by clicking on the Gear Icon, then Feedback. The comments made in this section are taken into consideration when the developers design new features for QuickBooks Online.
