On the quick books app is there a way to move around and re-organize the product/service lines on an estimate or invoice?

Hey there Brian,

 

I love that you're taking advtange of our QuickBooks Online app to track the income and expense for your business. The app is a fantastic addition to use of the software in your internet browser, but it definitely has its limitations. Let me give you a hand.

 

I assume you're using the mobile app, since the desktop app has essentially the same functionality as you would when accessing QBO from your internet browser. When entering a Product/Service on an Invoice using the QBO mobile app, the only option you have is to select and edit it, or hit the red minus to delete the line. If you need to re-order the lines, you'll have to delete and re-enter them in the correct order. 

 

I can see how this could be a time-consuming process, especially if you're entering a lot of line items on a given Invoice. Luckily, there's a workaround that'll allow you to re-order your line items from your mobile device. If you access your device's browser and navigate to our website you'll be able to select the 3 lines in the upper left corner and sign in to your account. From there you can hit the + New button and create a new Invoice, or navigate to the Sales tab to work on an existing invoice. You can use the icon with 9 dots at the beginning of each line to re-order them to suit your needs. You can also do the same from the internet browser on your computer, so if you have access to one, that'll be a good solution as well.

 

I also want to encourage to submit feedback to our product development team on how we can improve the mobile app to suit your business' needs. Navigate to the 3 lines in the mobile app, then select All. Scroll down to the bottom and click Help and feedback. Next, hit App Feedback and let us know what we can do better. If you want to submit feedback from your computer you can navigate to the Gear and select Feedback.
