QBO I am losing my work. QB is not saving. Generates new invoice # but does not save changes at I loss the invoice number x2 now. I am not using the app!

Having to re-enter your work multiple times will definitely make a dent in your workflow and your day overall, so I want to make sure that this is addressed and you can move on to other tasks you need to complete in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to help and can direct you on how to troubleshoot this.

 

When you're entering transactions manually into QuickBooks Online, it's important to hit the Save or the Save and Close/Send/New/Copy Link button. Although QuickBooks works in the cloud, it doesn't include an autosave option, which is why the step of clicking a save option is necessary. When you do this, the program will keep your work so you don't have to worry about re-entering it.

 

If that's what you're doing, but you're still running into trouble, troubleshooting your browser and Internet is the next step in resolving this issue. Here are the steps I recommend to tackle these kinds of problems when working with QuickBooks Online.

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
