Receipt numbering

Can you create a formula for the receipt number in QB Online? I started to manually add the month then the receipt number and QB Online kept using that for new receipts (good) but when we hit a new month it does not change the month prefix, is there a way to achieve that?

Thanks a million Patricia and I will submit a feedback soon. On the positive side, QB starts using the new prefix after I change it manually a few times so I can manage for now.

At the moment, the automatic numbering system is continuous for numbers and stagnant for letters.
