I have invoices pending completion and the sales items show the tax on each it and the 13% was correct and the totals were correct. Recently I created an invoice and the subtotals and total was the same. I looked back at the tax and the tax was calculated off of a lower value than the subtotal to reach the subtotal and then showing it the subtotal again as the total. What can I do to fix this? I have tax as inclusive and it’s not changing anything

Hi ses-sr91-gmail-c,

Welcome to Community!  It's important that you're able to apply the associated sales tax to your forms, in keeping with government guidelines.  QuickBooks Online sales tax feature provides the ability for you to manage your sales tax codes and rates.  I'd be happy to provide some insight here!

Tax inclusive refers to the amount of tax that's included in the purchase price.  This would affect how the tax is calculated on your forms.  To ensure you're selecting the appropriate sales tax, I recommend speaking with an accounting profession.  They'll be able to provide their expertise and best course of action to ensure your books remain aligned.  If you don't have an accountant, we can help you locate a ProAdvisor in your local area.

Feel free to reach out again with other questions.  We'd be glad to help!
