Question

The search feature in QBO, does not return any data before December 31, 2021. I verified the invoice and payment exists. Is there a date filter I need to clear?

I have checked every option in "settings" and did not find any answers to resolve the problem. I spoke to QB support five times and no could help.

Hello cecyoung,

Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks enables you to get your work done faster with the help of the accounting features offered in the program. I'll be glad to share more info so you're on the right track with achieving your goals.

The program allows for you to search for data entries using the Advanced Search feature. In order to take advantage of this feature, click on the Magnifying glass at the top right of your account > once the search drop-down appears, click on the blue link that says Advanced Search > on the search filter, select the matching criteria, and specifically filter it to show the line description. After hitting Search, you'll be able to see the entries you're looking for based on the search criteria you use. For search functions that go beyond these steps, I recommend sending feedback to our engineers so the desired search functions can be considered for future program updates. To send feedback, click on the Gear icon > Feedback

Let me know if this info helps. I'll be one message away in case you need additional support.

Thanks.

I found the Date Filter defaulted to Custom From 2022-02-13. I do not know why this happened in every search and every criterion selected.

No worries. Are you able to change the date to the date you intend to search for?
