Uploading a Charity Receipt Template. When at Preview it comes up blank. Is there a way to make a template to Government Standard for Charity Receipts?

Hello,

QuickBooks Online knows that each business has different needs for their bookkeeping. Luckily, QBO has the flexibility to allow you to create your own custom form style, and import it into the program using Word. If you're having trouble uploading your custom form, I'll help get you back on track.

It's important to keep in mind that QuickBooks Online isn't designed for non-profit organizations or charities. Depending on what the form entails, QuickBooks Online may not be able to accommodate it. This is something you and your accountant will have to consult on based on the capabilities in QBO.

Here's a detailed article that will guide you through the process of uploading a custom form style template: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates. As you can see from the article's title, you can only import custom styles for invoices and estimates. Whether or not your particular form will fit into this category is something you'll have to decide.

If you're working within the QuickBooks program to customize your invoices, estimates, or sales receipts, you can do so by following the steps here: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. Again, whether or not this will offer the appropriate and necessary fields for a charity receipt is up to you and your accountant.

If you're seeing a blank screen and otherwise the template is good, you can do some basic browser troubleshooting to try and resolve that. Try clearing the cache and cookies in your browser. These are the stored Internet files that build up over time and they can cause bugs in QBO and other sites. Here's how to clear them: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

You can also try using an Incognito window in Google Chrome. This is a private window that runs independently from the main browser, and it helps diagnose browser-related problems. Here's more information about what that is and how to use it: Browse in Private. I'd also recommend trying an alternative browser if the issue persists.

I hope this helps get you back on track. If you have any other questions or concerns, please touch base with our tech support team.

Cheers.
