What do I do about an invoice that I accidentally put as paid?

Hi kamloopscommerci,

 

Thanks for reaching out here.  QuickBooks Online enables you to remove invoice payments, when they've been applied in error.  I'd be glad to assist!

 

Follow these steps to remove the applied payment;

 

1. From the left menu, select Receive payment

2. Click on the history icon in the top left (circular arrow)

3. If you don't see the payment, scroll down and hit View more

4. Use the Search and Date filters to minimize your search

5. Locate and select the payment to expand the view

6. Scroll to the bottom and hit More, then Delete

7. Hit Yes to confirm

Note; Deleting a transaction cannot be undone.  If you delete an item in error, you'll need to re-create it in QuickBooks Online.
