Hello,

The new Receipts feature in QuickBooks Online is so handy! Now you can ditch your shoebox, while also saving precious time with a new and improved way to enter expenses. I'd be happy to shed some light on how this works.

There's a few ways to upload your receipts to QBO. If you're using the app on your phone, QuickBooks will automatically upload your receipts as soon as you scan them. To scan a receipt, install the "QuickBooks Accounting: Invoicing and Expenses" app on your phone. Then, open the app and tap the menu button. Select the Receipt Camera, and snap a photo of your receipt. Once you do, it will automatically appear in the Receipts tab with any other receipts you've added. Use your computer to manage your receipts from there.

If you're uploading the receipts from your computer, you'll have to drag and drop the receipts directly into QBO, or select Browse to upload them. This option may take a bit longer, depending on the operating speed of your computer.

If you're experiencing slow uploads, or if you're having trouble with receipt scanning in general, I'd encourage you to reach out to our tech support team so we can help. It's our goal to make sure you're getting the most of the program.

Have a nice day.
