Hi there,

Creating invoices is so simple with QuickBooks Online. QBO allows you to record your invoices, print, or send them directly to your customer via email. It's so important for your invoices to remain open until you receive a payment from your customer. If your invoices are being marked as paid after you create them, I'd be happy to explain a few troubleshooting steps you can try in order to resolve this.

After running a few tests in my own account, things seem to be working as intended. There's no reports at this time of a back-end issue that may be causing your invoices to be marked as paid before you record a payment. Because of these findings, I believe this is a browser-related issue. I'll explain what to do next.

Try clearing the cache and cookies in your web browser by following the steps here: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. These are stored Internet files that build up over time and they can bog you down or create errors.

If the issue persists, try using an Incognito window in Google Chrome. This is a private browsing mode that operates separately from the main browser, and it doesn't get impacted by stored cache and cookies. Here's more information about that and how to use it: Browse in Private.

You should also try using multiple different browsers.

If you're still experiencing this issue, I'd recommend reaching out to our tech support team directly in order to get back on track. You'll be in good hands with our agents, and I'm confident they'll have this sorted out for you in no time.

Cheers.
