With QuickBooks Online, how can I create a statement for a customer that shows each invoice and each payment applied to each invoice for the past year?

All I get is a list of invoices and the summary of the payments applied to that invoice. I want to get a separate line for each item:
1. invoice amount
2. first payment for that invoice
3. second payment for the invoice
4. second invoice date & amount
5. payment applied to balance
6. next payment applied to balance
at bottom show outstanding balance.

I see what you're saying. That feature isn't available yet in QuickBooks. I recommend sending feedback about this to our engineers by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are based on the feedback we get from users like you.

Hi there,

Congrats on your first post in the Community. I'd be glad to show you how to create a statement for a customer which shows each invoice.

Based on what you've described, you'd need to run a Transaction Statement to view the info you're looking for. To do this, click the Plus (+) icon and look for Statement. Once you have the Statement page pulled up, change the Statement Type to Transaction Statement. I'll attach an image below for visual reference:

Thanks for trying on this. But I'm not getting what I need. I get

Invoice #1 amount - payments = balance one line

Invoice #2 amount - payments = balance on second line

I need Invoice #1 on line 1

payment on line 2

payment on line 3

payment on line 4

invoice #2 on line 5

payment on line 6

In chronological order, showing what happened on each date.

Thanks.
