Question

For taxes it asked to categorize a vehicle expense. Now the tab labeled Vehicles, next to the Tags tab won't go away. Tried logging out and back in. How do I clear that?

I am seeing other expenses not related to vehicle but I'm worried it's not showing others because of it.

The Vehicles tab or filter is a default component on the Transactions page, Kwilliams717. I'll shed some light on how this feature works to ensure you can view the relevant entries.

Please know that this filter is used to view the list of all your vehicle-related expenses to make sure everything is assigned correctly. Thus, we're unable to remove it.

Unrelated transactions will show if the filters aren't set accurately. To display the expenses assigned to a specific vehicle, we'll have to configure the filters correctly. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions
  2. In the Type dropdown, select Spending.
  3. In the Account dropdown, choose All.
  4. Set the correct date and pick a tag as needed.
  5. In the Vehicles dropdown, choose a vehicle name.

Furthermore, if you still have unassigned items, let's categorize and allocate them to a vehicle.

Thanks for the help. I think i need the opposite of what you are saying though. I'm worried that having the vehicle tab there all the time is filtering out transactions. I don't remember seeing that tab before I started taxes. If it is always supposed to be there, that's fine. As long as it's set to Vehicles: All, it seems like I'm seeing all regular transactions not related to vehicle.
